Question



My friends 2000 R1 has is speedometer not working. We checked the fuses and they were ok. The sensor of the bottom of the engine is well connected. We can't figure it out. Does anyone wan't to give it a go??

I don't know how difficult it would be to see the connections but have you checked behind the speedo itself??? Of maybe the sensor is bad. Is there a way to Ohm it out or check it's output???? I'm not sure what kind of sensor it might be so I can't be more specific than that. Hope that helps.

check all plugs(in the front)....one must be corroded.

take your time and take off the upper fairing.

Ok thanx guys. It was the speed sensor in the gear box. Gotta replace it.
