Do you have the cam bearing caps? If so, are they marked to be reinstalled in the corect location? They are matched sets and can't be swapped.

Let me know

no cam bearing caps. It's probably better to get a new one anyways IMO

They are machined as a match set, without the correct caps the housing would have to be aling bored/honed = $$$$

I found a busted 99 motor and was going to use its internals for the new crankcase. But the lack of time is the big enemy.

those would have been the icing on the cake... Did you do anything special to the motor? I know you're on the addiction but you didn't list your mods there.

Same reason I was looking at the Head. That way I could do the head work while still riding the bike...

Even if he does have them, they have to be reinstalled from the same location they were removed from. So if they aren't marked, it doesn't matter.

It's better to use the caps that came with the head, but it's not the end of the world if you don't.

They are machined together for sure, but they are all bored out the same size. I have used different caps on a head with no problems. It was not an R1 head, but same type of deal.
