My R1 eats me.

gas light wont stop blinking
 its driving me crazy but on my 00 R1 the gas light always blinks.. even with a full tank.. any ideas how to fix this??

Not sure about the '00, but on the newer models that happens if you don't have the fuel level guage connector connected.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery to let it reset?

where would that plug be??? and i havent but will reset the battery... also i went 121 miles without filling the tank, how many miles can i go???

Bottom of the tank. You should have two wire connectors plugged into it.
121 miles - you're about on fumes.

IF its the same as the '98, you will find a green connector behind the LHS plastic tank infill (Bottom rear edge of tank). That is the connector for the Fuel level Sensor.
If this is plugged in, it sounds like time to check all the loom connectors, check the internal connections are clean, none burnt and apply dielectric/silicone grease.
