Six Arrested In Alleged Motorcycle Theft Ring

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Several men accused of stealing motorcycles in South Florida have been arrested as the result of a yearlong investigation.

Six people were arrested, including the alleged ringleader, Frederick "Tony" Woods.

Detectives said Woods was responsible for stealing hundreds of motorcycles and then smuggling them to the Caribbean.

"Mr. Woods was probably a master criminal matchmaker. What he would do is, if someone needed a bike, they would call him and he would furnish the bike. If someone wanted a bike stolen, he would do that. He was always the middle man," said Broward County Sheriff Ken Jenne.

The six suspects face a variety of charges ranging from racketeering and conspiracy to dealing with stolen property.

Thats sick man that is a lot of stolen bikes ,not to mention im sure tons more that they shipped out or got rid of before they got caught... they should all be sentenced to death by being dragged behind the same bikes they stole...
but chances are they will be out by tomm. and right back at it

I know Edward Alvardo (second dude, second row). Been to his house on numerous occasions. He worked on my first sportbike (R6). Long story behind that but have to be offline.

Believe me when i say this....this little crew that they caught is NOTHING. I am sure it was disorganized at best but of course the cops is going to make it there highlight of the year.
