2007 Kelly Brown R1/R6-Forum.com Deals GAP Convention
It’s that time of year again to SLAY THE DRAGON and there is NO better event then the ANNUAL R1-forum.com / R6-forum.com DEALS GAP EVENT! Slaying the Dragon 2007 starts officially June 11th – June 17th 2007! If you’ve ever wanted a chance to cover this South Eastern United States legend in RIDING, NOW is your chance!
EVENT DETAILS: Deal's Gap
info about the Gap: www.tailofthedragon.com
Lodging: Fontana Village
Website: www.fontanavillage.com Just like years past Fontana Village will be hosting the event. When calling for reservations mention Yamaha R1 Forum Group 1-800-849-2258 so you will be setup with special rates. They do have Inn rooms and cabins so make sure you register right away. Make sure you tell them you are with the R1 Rally so you get the special rates and so that they put you with us, if there are any problems ask to speak with Toni, John or Debbie or just let me know. They have blocked off a section for us.
We have a photographer that will be working a few days during the event and selling CD’s of the entire event for $25 each. Also Daryl “Killboy” Cannon ( www.killboy.com ) will be on the gap with his staff the entire event! You can always count on Daryl for INSANE pictures!
FOOD: Catered
There will be catered meals delivered to a designated area for dinner nightly along with a Thursday night house boat rental that included with that. The cost is $100.00 person (contact gawarrior@comcast.net (Chad Clifton) upon confirmation of attendance and he’ll get you the payment details).

flooding out?
Just bought a 2007 R1 and before reading the thread on bad acceleration I was getting used to the bike and noticed that when I pulled out of a parking lot and rolled on the throttle hard the bike would almost die out before taking off. Example: lugging out at around 2 to 3 grand and rolling on the throttle hard will almost pull you over the handle bars it cuts out so bad. Is this realated to the thread? Or can I just get that tuned out? And I don't hang out at 2 to 3 grand often but it is just aggravating thinking something might be wrong with a new bike. Have called the dealer but no help there.
