The model number that I found on my paper work. I am under the impression that it designates the bike as being compliant with California smog rules. California has some sort of registration restriction that prevents a person from buying a bike out of state and then registering it in California if it doesn't have 7,500 miles on it or a designation that indicates it was first sold here.
