2008 yamaha r1

Anyone have info on the upcoming R1's? Just curious because I was going to by an 07 but than I noticed bog problems they had. Plus with the new tech. on for this bike I was going to wait for them to fix the kix. What does everyone think? All opinions welcome.

glad i got the 05 in 05...the 07 would have been a total waste to wait for, just buy the 07 if you were gonna buy it anyways, you'll get a good deal on it since 08 is coming out soon.

there is a search button man, had you used it properly you would have came to the conclusion that no there is no information on the 08 r1, and you wouldn't have had to make a useless post.

I have....for about a week and a half. The reason I'm not ridin it now is cuz its in the shop gettin clutch work. No burn outs either( thats what the techs kept askin) I value traction. anyway it feels like i was ridin a 600 the clutch would slip in every gear and in 2nd it would sometimes not catch at all unless i gave it a while. i am usually a gixxer man and the time i go out to try somethin new i get the good ol BONE!! sorry had to vent

no i havent ridden one...but they are fugly imo, and they weigh more, and are slower than the 05. also its the frist year of a new style so there are all the kinks to work out, and issues they always have the first year.

You are so mislead it's not even funny.

My 07 is much lighter the my 04. - (remove stock exhaust)
My 07 has about 14 more HP then the 04 as well
All the kinks are resolved..... (lag was the only one I had)

as for the style- to each their own, but I like the 07 style better.
