finally put my 15t front sprocket on.....

just thought i would share with other members that were curious what a 15t front sprocket is like. let me first say that it is not good to go 15t in front with the 45t in rear because of two reasons. one is that the front sprocket is a litttle smaller than preferred by most when it comes to not stressing out the chain. second, when you have a 15-45 combo, the chain hits the sprocket at the same place every time. i only did this as a test to see if the 3.00 Final Drive Ratio is for me. I will later achieve this ratio in a different combo with a 520 conversion. it was very cheap to do this.

when i pulled out of the shop, i could feel it immediately. i pulled the throttle back in 1st gear pretty hard and the front came up relatively quick. it was very nice. the front only came up a foot at the most. i do enjoy wheelies by the way. let me share that this set up is not drastic at all. if you want to do effortless wheelies, you're going to have to go up in back as well. the way i feel about this is that this is the way the bike should be stock. it feels so much better. it pulls stronger, as if there's a supercharger on the thing, seriously. for $30, it feels like a whole nutha bike. it sounds way better too, going through the gears faster.

therefore, if you are curious about going down 2 in the front, or up 6 in the back, don't worry, it's not too drastic. the bike is still very rideable. I personally am going to add a few in the back. but the fastest I go is 75 or 80. there's nowhere for me to go faster than that. this is a perfect 1/4 mile ratio too. that's all, just thought i would share my first impressions with anyone interested.
