Exclamation 3rd electrical problem

Hey guys!! Need your opinion on what's going on? I am on my 3rd elctrical issue on my 2006 R1. it has 80000 miles and just got done with a full tune up.

1st issue headlights didn't work= main harness needed to be replaced
folsom, ca yamaha repaired
2nd issue bike died and wouldn't start=camshaft sensor cut by fan
capitol yamaha citrus heights, ca repaired
3rd issue bike won't crank over= pick up sensor needs to be replaced
Vacaville,ca yamaha currently repairing I hope

Should I expect these problems considering I ahve ridden year round for two years, and have such high mileage? Or did I get a lemon? Your thoughts? Be kind!

Follow this procedure here! It will eliminate and or considerably cut down on the huge majority of electrical issues.

Sal thanks, thats good info, I put the stuff on connectors whenever I remove/replace them. Guess i should go all through the bike though

One of the cheapest preventative measures you can take. Go through the entire bike! Inside the clipon elec controls, battery / ecu / rectifier / stator connectors. Everything!

That sounds odd. What exactly is a "pick-up" sensor?

Edit..Did you sign up for the Dragon squadron?

80,000 miles on a bike and only three problems is pretty good

crank sensor, or he said a sensor that tells the bike to start, i think it was the camshaft again
