Gas cap and base

was just wondering about these. Vortex has them for $100, but some other brands off ebay you can get it for $42 shipped.

whats the deal anyone has these cheap ones? good quality?

is it worth paying 100 bucks?
anyone powdercoated their stock? thinking of doing it but dont know if it will holod up. openening and closing all the time. might get scrached...

they guy got good ratings from a ton of people

all of his neutrals are ppl btching about shipping prices

id say go for it

let us know how you like it cuz i might just go this route especially for 50 bucks

well he is not the only one selling them, there is more people if you search r1 fuel caps. i think there is a seller from hong kong selling for 38 shipped. look about same. but i was just wondering if anyone has any input on the quality of these.

are the build properly and do they seal good as well?
i am thinking of ordering this...

The only aspect of that gas cap that i dislike for street use is a lack of a locking mechanisem! Other than that it looks the part and its functional.

GAS CAP DUDES CAPS SUCK********>at least the one i had...It was black, then bike was left outside in rain and the next day it was a goldish color.....pissed off...he told me 2 bad......So iwent with a vortex cap.,.,,.,..love it,,,,i dont care about locking my cap,,,,,,,,bikes garaged 99% of time anyways,,,plus if someone need 4 1/2 gallons of gas...lol ill let em take it..
