Southwick Moto-X 338
Anyone else planning on going to Southwick this month (Sat. 8/29)? I'm going regardless but thought it might be fun to ride out there.
Maybe Rt. 16 down into CT and then back up over the MA border. There are some good back roads down around Douglas, MA.
I might try to make a run out there in the next week or two to find some good roads unless anyone already knows of some.

It's South of Worcester by the CT border. Near Webster Lake. (I think that's what it's called)
It takes about an hour and a half to get to the track from North Attleboro via the Mass Pike.
I figure back roads will take about and extra hour or so. Maybe a little longer.

I know there is some good riding around Rt. 16 into CT but I have not been pass Thompson Speedway.
That's why I'm gonna try and get down there at least once before that weekend. Plus I want to time it.
I'm thinking it will be around 5 hours round trip. I'll let you know if it's worth it.
Forecast looks good this for this weekend.

Hey Huck,
Whats Rt 190 like for riding. I was thinking 190 to 57.
Either way I'll let you know what ends up happening.

So you think Rt.20 would be better? I was hoping to avoid a lot of highway riding and it seems a long way down 190.

Took a ride out to Southwick today. Left North Attleboro around 11:30, got back just before 6:00. Just in time for MotoGP on speed. Round trip was roughly 245 miles. Most of the ride was pretty cool and only a little bit of highway riding.
I took Rt. 20 on the way there (Sturbridge and West Springfield kind of sucked, lot of whiteheads in Sturbridge) and took 57 to 171 on the way back.
The ride back was better. Not all twisty backroads but a good mix of riding.
If weather permits could be a good ride out to watch some pro motocrossin'.
