Scotts YZF-R1 Steering Stabilizer

We’ve used Scotts Performance steering stabilizers in the past and know they’re simple to install and very effective at calming the front end of just about any motorcycle. Each kit comes complete with high-quality hardware and precision machined components that replace your bike’s OEM fuel tank bolts with a frame bracket to support the stabilizer’s tower pin. You will also replace your bike’s OEM steering stem nut with that included in the kit. This new nut binds the damper unit to the upper triple clamp in a clean, precise manner for a unique look that serves a purpose.

Best of all, the device is adjustable not only for the amount of damping it provides, but also, the range in which its force can be felt. With this unit, it also becomes possible to make low-speed handling effortless, yet the damping action is retained when sudden movements occur. It is these details that set the Scotts Performance steering stabilizer apart from others on the market today.

Call Brad at 866.931.6644 ext 810 to have him send you one of these devices today. You can also email him for a quote – send those to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away.

The complete kit.

Replacement steering stem nut.

This piece goes between the steering stem bolt and the top of the triple clamp.

Same piece, looking at it from the bottom up.

Frame bracket and tower pin.

Stabilizer unit.

Mounted on a 2009 YZF-R1.

Scott’s Performance Steering Stabilizers have been on a few Riders Discount bikes in the past, and that’s not changing in 2013. We just installed them on our new pair of Triumph Daytona 675R’s.

You can order one for your bike by calling Brad at 866.931.6644 ext 810, or by sending an email to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM.

PM sent, we've actually used both Ohlins and Scotts on our racebikes. It will be personal preference, the Ohlins has a linear mount while there is a compact setup on the Scotts damper.
