RED Bull R1! Did yamaha ever make such edition??

Hey Fellas!!

You are READING the thread of a proud new owner of a 2002 R1! Now here is my question! this beauty is R1 Blue with yellow rims and redbull decals! The dude i bought it from doesnt know too much about details he's just a casual rider!

Now did i end up buying Red Bull edition R1?? Did Yamaha ever produce such models in 02? or.... was one of the owners pretty creative to place decals on the bike.

I really like the colours, decals all bit and I know i will be questioned so better to do my research then look like a moron!

a friend of mine has a redbull R1 but it is Grey, I think they are the original plastics, so I believe that it is legit.

No it's aftermarket decals. Notice the Yamaha Stepping stones are still on the tank, but nowhere else.

now looking at the tank.. thats the regular Yamaha stripes.. so that there makes me think its not a real Redbull.. it does not match.. I really love the look of the bike then again.. yellow wheels?? that never came with the stock R1.. unless they got the wheels painted..

I have an 03 Fiat, I think it holds its own even when sitting next to the 2010 Fiat special addition and it cost less than half the price. I like the different colored rims, what about white rims on mine.

Im pretty sure I've seen that Red Bull outline here on R1-forum. Ask the guy if he was a member here, those arent the first time I've seen those pics (with the yellow wheels and stickers).

They don't have a kit for the R1 on the website but they have one for the CBR600RR and i'm pretty sure they can have the kit made for your bike.

yamaha never made a street redbull package, although it would be nice. I did my 09 r1 with redbull graphics though. I like it.
the yellow wheels look great with that setup.
