How to: Samanna Systems Amber Dancer Taillight LED Mod

Step 1: Unlock the passenger seat and remove it completely

Step 2: Remove all 4 hex screws (4mm) pictured here, be careful because the
turn signal assembly will fall free

Step 3: You now move to under the tail and pop-out the four black-plastic
'rivets'. You do this by pressing
hard on the center button on them with something small and cylindrical, such as
a miniature screwdriver

Step 4: Once the rivets are 'popped', they simply pull out

Step 5: Next, the undertail piece comes out by sliding it toward the front of
the bike, then dropping it down

Step 6: It is suggested that the connectors on the to-be-discarded original
rear turn signals be salvaged and used to connect the Amber Dancer turn signal
wires to the bike wiring harness. To salvage the connectors, use a wire-cutter
and snip the rear turn signal wires such that the turn signal connector is left
with approximately 6 inches (15.25 cm) of wire. Do this to both rear turn
signals and the license plate light. Remove the black wires from the turn
signal connectors by snipping them off flush with the back of the connector

Step 7: To remove the tail cowl, there are two screws under the passenger seat

Step 8: Lift each rear of the operator seat and unbolt (10mm) it from the frame

Step 9: There are two more pop-out black-plastic 'rivets' under the operator
seat

Step 10: At this point, the complete tail cowl should now be ready to slide
back and off

Step 11: The taillight assembly is held in place by two screws at the back of
the assembly

Step 12: To unplug the taillight, simply follow the taillight cable to the
connector at its end (about 2 feet), and unplug it.

Step 13: That's it! Package your stock taillight and return it to Samanna
Systems for modification

To install the Amber Dancer Taillight, just REPEAT above instructions in reverse
order (13-1)
