Rear View Camera for Mirrors

I want to get rid of my stock mirrors on my 09 R1 and want to know if there is a product that has this.......possible with an integrated GPS as well.

ive not seen something that is made for it, but i had the idea a while ago of buying a back up camera for a car, mounting the screen up by the gauge cluster, and the camera under the tail on the fender so you can see straight back with no problem but it doesnt exactly help looking to you're sides if thats what you're looking for
with my set up i plan on keeping my mirrors

I've been wanting to do this too. What concerns me is the resolution. I want to be able to tell the difference between a civilian car and a LEO.

You will never get that amount of clarity/distance in a camera that would be able to mount to your bike.

People said the same thing about tvs and camera phones. Now we have 1080p led in 3d and camera phones that record in hi def.

Plate mount camera, and one of the smaller 3in screens used to mount in a car...should work fine..

RIDE THE BIKE, dont watch tv, probably illegal in alot of places. Any video screen in eye shot of a driver is not legal here in Ontario

i would assume this is illegal in all 50 states unless you keep the mirrors as well.

just like a car has to have side mirrors & rear view etc

if you replace all the mirrors with the camera screens its legal you just still have to have some way to see or so i assume

Have you asked yourself why? What benefit would you get? You would spend 500 bucks plus mount some heavy electronic crap on your bike to get worse visibility than you have now. This might make sense to a congressman I guess.

like i said in an earlier post, you can buy just one camera and screen for 80 bucks, and ive broken my back so twisting to look over or under my shoulder is harder, so i would just use it to see directly behind me
