Nice PJ! I was/am going to do mine with the reverse color scheme.
Few questions, 1) can I get a picture of those mounting brackets on the sides. 2) where did you get the materials? I went to Lowe's the other day and failed at finding the materials.

You'll have to wait a bit on pics because I don't have any taken of those specifically.
As for materials, I cheated and used a "sifting basket" from work. Cost me nothing and for the perimeter I used stainless from the scrap bin  I couldn't find a good source for expanded metal in that size for a decent price. Every place I did find it the prices were more than I was willing to pay. Feel free to ask any more questions and to bother me about getting those pics  I kno I'll forget bout em

For those in the Midwest, I picked up mesh screen like that from Menard's when I did the grille on my E250. It's 1/4" wire mesh. I'm going to be doing this to the bike. But, I need to go pick some up before I can. Might as well since I'll have the front end torn apart for a while.
BTW, if you don't have a Menard's, look for something like Fleet Farm, Tractor Supply, etc.

When I turned the phone to kill-shot (sideways ) they loaded for some reason
And I searched menards, lowes, home depot, tractor supply, farm & fleet, fleet farm....and none of them had anything decent. Around S.E. Wisconsin at least. The only things they had were like window screen, chicken wire and gutter screen

I suspect he sprayed it red in the middle....then taped off the r1 with masking tape then sprayed the rest black...Thats how I am going to do it anyway...

i think sprayed it all black, let it sit a few days and taped off the symbol. I'm actually really surprised how well it came out myself considering my art skills
