Ok. I know plenty of people have done it, but when I searched, for the life of me, I could only find pics of the 07 and up.

Sorry bout that.

K, so I dont know if its cause its a 2005 and the computer would be fine either way, but after 250 miles, the resistor in the exup servo motor plug is still working. No engine light yet.

I pulled the exup and bolted a plate over the hole with the stock gasket.

you'll need to do some remapping with a PC3 to compensate then or you'll have some drop in torque and power in the low to mid range.

Yea, I already did that. I used a map for a full graves system with velocity stacks. It runs good and feels smooth and powerful.

I know I'm a little late in this conversation, but I have an 06 with all stock hardware and I'm getting the dreaded 17 code. Can I remove the exup and do the bypass with stock hardware? Thanks in advance.

Can you do it? Yes, but you should have a power commander or bazzaz or something. Dunno how it will affect that code.

good job bro, i like your write up/pics. i wanna ask u a question, u seem knowledgible in this area. on top of my airbox, where the screw in the center top of the cover is, i dont have a plug there. i was told there is supposed to be one. so what im asking is, do i really need it, or should i leave it alone?

The power commander is on my short list. Not sure if I'll get to it this season. This weekend I'm going to remove the exup, cover the hole and do the bypass with a resistor and see what happens. I can definitely say that the exup is staying closed because the exhaust heats up way too fast if it were open. And the engine sounds like it's straining. But that could be because of the map. I'll let you know. Thanks for your help.

Obviously this works on an '05, but I was wondering would it be pretty much the same thing for an '02? If so, I may be taking out the exup system on my '02

Thank you
