Sherman's 2008 R6 Track Build Thread
Hi everyone!
I decided to post about my 2008 R6 build/track update to throw a little variety on here Long story short, my first bike was a 2008 R6, got into an accident, sold it and then managed to buy it back. So here it is!
3/10/11
My GPR damper
Started stripping down the tail section today too. Removed the passenger pegs and fender eliminator kit.
N-Tec take offs (tread wasn't done by me lol)

I decided to hold off on the track plastics, as I am too slow to be needing those for now. So as of right now, I will just be sticking to trusty ol' painters tape.
Zero Gravity double bubble windscreen
Ballistic battery 4 cell
No-name brand shorty levers
My GoPro (one of the few locations I will place it at. Any other suggestions on where to mount? I would like somewhere to view the speedo)

How'd you adjust to the jump to an R1? I've been eyeing R1's more and more lately and I think I'm a fan of the 08's body style.

it wasnt bad, it def has alot more power! i went from running the r6 hard to hardly running the r1 and getting the same results. its a torque machine compared to the 6. im happy with the jump up.

I did an 08 R6 build over the winter of 08-09. Look it up if you want some ideas.

I've actually never really ridden a litre bike so I wouldn't know. I'm excited to try one in the future though!

Ever consider selling the standard length levers as well? Looks like you're progressing well.

I considered it and actually came really close to carrying them but some complications came up and I had to hold that thought for a while. Hopefully in the near future though!
