Official Gym Rat Thread (Second Set)
I'm going to request the original Official Gym Rat Thread be locked so that it helps speed things up and not be so much for everyone to read through.
There is a lot of great info in the original thread. So, if one feels inclined to learn a lot, I recommend them to read through it.
That one has a lot of off-topic posting in it. Let's try and keep this one on topic and less please.
------------
That being said, now that we're in the Holiday season, who's still going strong? Who's starting up again? What's changed in your training?

Still going strong. In month 7 of my training. Have moved my weight up from 210 to 225. With hopes of maxing out at 235. At the gym now and no one is here just like I like it.

There's a ton of info in the original thread which I linked in the first post. But, to sum it up in a few items:
1) Diet is key. Clean eating, portion control, and proper hydration will do more for you than a crappy diet while eating poorly.
2) Proper execution in exercise is critical. This helps to prevent you from injury while working out. Train within your means and be intelligent about what you're doing. Check your ego at the door.
3) Losing weight for health is a noble cause. Unfortunately, many people tend to lose that focus after a while. Find an event, or something, which will set a date and challenge you to improve by then. A lifting meet, racing season, etc. Something to keep you focused and on track as your big goal and set smaller ones as check points in between now and your target.

The old thread was getting pretty big and was hard to find info after a while lol
Just an update for me:
Been back in the gym for about 6 months now after a 2yr on/off rut. Putting some size back on and preparing for a cut after xmas.
Shoulder injuries have pretty much made squatting impossible for me. So as much as I love doing them, I have to stick leg presses and hack squats.
Also started doing dips about a month ago and ended up injuring my left shoulder and upper chest pretty badly. The entire area was swollen for a week. lol Weird.
Hope everyone is doing OK!
-Peter

Try oxy elite pro with a low carb, high protein diet. Oxy elite pro is a fat burner with an appetite suppressor. Very good product I dropped 15 lbs fast. I'm no PT but I work out 4 days a week.

Because you have noodle arms. To help keep from getting sore or to help recovery time, intake protein before and after your workout. Helps from getting to sore, also drink plenty of water that helps with recovery also.

Plus you have to think depending on your workout you use your arms for everything you do whether its back, chest, shoulders ext.
