Looks fun as hell.
Looks like fun but certainly has traction issues. Needs bigger, stickier tires.

lolk well today all i did was air up the tires...my wifes rule in order for me to make this monster was that she wants to be around for the whole build...everything...i might even get yelled at for airing up the tires with out her hahaha but the next couple days i gotta chop the frame and extend it...then goes paint. then goes in the motor which means i have to make some custom a$$ motor mounts. im still debating on if i should make an engine cage just in case somehow i get enough traction to flip ( not likely ) pictures as soon as i start which will be sometime this week

so got some work done on the shifter kart...got the frame extended and the axle pushed back so tomorrow im hoping to be welding in mounts for the motor...im so sad i dont have the pics right now i cant find my camera anywhere but my buddy had his cell and we took some pics but he cant send them to me till tomorrow...so tomorrow there will be some pics up!! sorry took so long to reply to this but does anyone know how hard it is to wire 220 into a garage? its kinda a pain in the ass when the ppl who built the garage tried to make it so you cant and we ended up rewiring the whole garage but i got it!

she is a little bare right now...just looks like a stretched out go kart at the moment but in order for it to work i had to stretch it or there wouldnt be room for a motor to attach to a sprocket...im still trying to figure out what to do about a sprocket actually...i need to find one like the stock we have but a bit smaller...like a 40tooth or so...with the one we have stock im running the risk of scraping it on the ground...but i will be building a cage around it so if i do scrap(prolly will scrap) i damage the cage and not the chain or sprocket

I'm not sure what the chain trade size is, but Grainger carries a pretty large variety of sprockets with varying bore sizes.

picture time!!!

so first we had to start off giving the kart a little lift in order to make everything fit and not hit a 1 inch rock and bottom out.

started by extending the rear end and where the axle mounts i flipped it to raise the rear about 3 inches maybe 2 and 1/2 but that made it sit super aggressive and snowplow the front side so chopping the front hubs added a plate and sent those down 1 and 1/2 to 2 inches...an inch lower then the rear.

just realized i didnt take a picture after we built the brace in to support the new shape of the front hubs...o well =/

put the r1 sprocket on the rear axle. it adjusts from left to right but the issue ima run into is i need to make a chain tensionor and also a chain guide out of hard steel as it sits pretty f***in low to the ground.

Setting the motor in and making me some mounts was another task today. i dont have mounted pics yet but here is the set up and prep work tieing it in making sure it didnt swing as we welded the mounts were we wanted them.

MORE PICS TO COME as soon as i get some time to get in the garage lol
