Got another awesome deal - Scotts dampers for ALL bikes, but of course, in stock for the 2002 R1 - price: 379.00!!!
Call up DAN at 831-394-1330, he's a great guy and looking forward to hearing from you. Tell him you want in on the Nick group buy for the scotts dampers - again, for ALL models of bikes, but of course the lovely 2002 R1 is in stock.

I hate to tell you this, but that's not all that great a deal. It's like $20 off what I got mine for on tricktape.com. $399 seems to be a pretty standard price for this part with mounting kit. I guess a $20 savings is still kinda nice, though.
BTW, not trying to be a dick here...just wanted to make sure you realize that this isn't really the deal of the century.

I never said it was the deal of a century, but the cheapest I've seen is 400 flat....hey, whatever, next time I won't bother taking the time to try and get us all a deal

Scud, thanks 4 letting us know. I already have a Scott's dampner installed on my 99 and it's awesome. My bro-in-law has a 99 gixxer and is in need of a dampner so i'm gonna pass the info 2 him. Thanks again Scudmeister!!!

Sorry, man! As I said, I'm not trying to be a dick or anything. Just wanted to make sure you realized. And I do appreciate the effort on the group buys. I just hope next time it'll be something I don't already have.

I'm DEFINITELY NOT knocking scud. I appreciate the hook-ups he gets for us and the knowledge and smart ass remarks he posts

A guy at graves motorsports told me that you need to replace the triple clamp when using the scotts damper
because you weaken the stock one when drilling holes
for mounting. Is this true or are they trying to get me to purchase a triple clamp. Any help appreciated.

You don't drill any holes to fit a Scotts damper. It's all bolt on. Maybe someone at Graves needs a little bit more info before pushing products that their sponsors give them

Thanx Droog, your right no drilling. Talked to Dan today and I'm going to order a Scotts
today, but group buy is over, still $399 is cheap since Graves quoted me $475.

Called Dan today. He's out of stock on Scott dampers.
His next shipment will go for the regural price of $399 + s&h
I bought my damper on the website for $400 + $9 s&h
