What kind of chain life to expect

Just curious what kind of chain life are you guys getting. I believe its the stock set up on my 06. Its got 20k miles on it, 11k by me. It has stretched a fair amount since the tensioners are pretty far out. I averaged around 10k miles on the chains on my R6 but those were 520's. Just curious about how many miles you guys go on them.

Average is probably about 20k miles. You see some guys get 10k and then you see guys like me get 40k:

You'll get a lot of advice about chain maintenance but here's the real skinny. It's all about o-ring maintenance. Keep your o-rings happy and you'll get a ton of miles out of a chain. I hit mine(o-rings only), with WD-40, every 333 miles(50,333 then 50,666 then 50,999). Easy to remember and don't have to keep track of when I lubed last. WD-40 contains about 20% petroleum oil and does an excellent job of lubing the o-rings and no, it won't eat them and no, it's not a solvent. You'll know when your chain is worn when 10 links measure 6.375"(162mm). A new chain will measure 6.25"(158.75mm). 2% stretch which is 1/8"(3mm).
