Say what you like about KTM, but it's a company that's listening to it's customer
KTM stopped the production of the lunatic weapon that is the Superduke R in 2010. That didn't stop the legion of followers talking, modifying and lamenting the bike on the KTM forums and in the real world. Amongst Superduke/KTM enthusiasts they have been talking about "...an RC8 powered Superduke R..." Turns out the boffins at KTM either had the same idea, or were listening to their loyal hooligans.
2013 might just herald the 1290cc v-twin powered Superduke R. It's a prototype now, however, have a look at it... If it's released, I'm in...

I always thought "Damn the engine in my RC8 in my Superduke R, yea that'd be fu*kin' nuts!" Now this thing is starring me in the face. It'll be ridiculously expensive down here, but I'll sell both the SDR and the RC8 for that thing.

Look at the tires on that thing!  they either stopped shredding up the track long enough for a picture, or they purposely put all that on there to make it look like that's what it's for.

I want one, that is one SICK bike! I can see me getting into ALOT of trouble on the street with that thing.... guess I'm gonna have to just have it strictly for the track....
