New guy that's not so new

SUP GUYS? To make a long story short, I joined here 6 or 7 years ago when i got my license with the hopes of buying an R1. That of course didn't happen and i ended up on a gixxer1000, of which i rode everyday up until last month when i sold it. Beautiful bike and very reliable, put almost 60k on it. Through a series of very fortunate events I finally bought a 2013 matte grey R1 last month and love it. Been lurking a while so I figured its finally time to come into the light and speak up. I'm pretty knowledgeable about bikes in general and i work for a Yamaha dealer(which is where this post is being made from) and I'm in the great state of Texas on an island just a few miles south of Houston. Any who i hope to make friends and contribute to the community in anyway that i can.

It wasn't my original choice of color but it has grown on me since then and now im happy with it. def a head turner if and when people actually see you

Yeah you might want to get a bright yellow helmet to keep the cagers confused. That gray is sweet but almost camouflage.

Yea I had a bunch of my buddies tell me that at the Lone Star rally a few weeks ago. I have a hi-viz icon variant and the white b-boz x-12 so that helps a bit
