09-11 Suspension Settings

Hi all..

What's you's suspension settings? What's your weight ?

Procedures to setup our bike suspension to our weight ?

Suspension 101 thread...or go to a trackday and pay ~$40 for the suspension guy there to do it.

there's no track near me... in nashville TN, there's no track! closeest thing would be indy or the one in alabama and im not going to ride for 3 /12 hrs and pay 40 bucks for that

um...actually go to the trackday to ride then it's worth it. I drive through nashville on the way to both Barber and NOLA...And maybe even Road Atlanta

I tried that, the one I went to at PBIR didn't have a suspension guy, and another one I missed at Jennings, I asked one of the coordinators and he said they probably wouldnt have a suspension guy.

Also, I asked my dealer to help me get set up when I bought the bike and they seemed completely baffled by the question, so I didn't press any further.

If you don't associate with track folks on a regular basis, I swear the general public craps their pants when asked about suspension setup. At least that's been my experience.

That's because for the most part street riders can get away with almost anything for suspension. They aren't pushing it or utilizing it
