Titax leverset "problem"
Hello!
I just swapped my china replicas to Titax levers and faced odd problem.
these titax levers has 6 point adjustment as had the "china pazzos".
My hight is 180cm and my finger lenght is "normal" but still these titax levers are too far away, even with the closest setup. Is this just the way Titax levers are or wtf is going on? Here is few pics..
Correct readings for the first picture: 9,5 cm & 5cm
China pazzo levers came much closer and i didnt even have to use the closest setup to operate them in my comfort zone.
Hope you did get my point here.
These levers were VERY expensive so i really dont know what is going on right now... this sucks.

I bought these levers from ebay , from authorized Titax dealer.
I got 4 finger levers because i broke my left forearm pretty badly in snowboarding accident year ago. Still haven't got all the strength back -> need to use all 4 fingers on clutch side.
If someone else here has Titax levers, could they check if the lever readings are the same(check #1 post pictures)

There was another company that had this issue as well. It needs a different elbow joint for the newer models or something like that.

Has anyone dealt with Titax here before?
I shipped my levers(defect) to them to be repaired/replaced. This happened 14th December 2012 and still haven't got them back.
They have given me false promises about shipping them and wont answer my emails. if you get an answer from them it's 1 month later with same story that they will ship them asap.
I think i just lost my levers to them. Kinda sucks...

Unfortunately these levers wasn't cheap. That's the main reason i send them over to be fixed. Aren't these products used in motogb ?

You make a good point, however, it really wont help his current problem. This may turn out to be an expensive lesson for him and a good lesson for the rest of us.

Had the same problem but with a set of Gilles Extremes, big range of adjustment but even setting the span to the minimum leaves the lever miles away form the bar. I managed to shave a small amount from the lever stop but don't know if this is possible with the Titax or similar. You can see where I've shaved through the anodizing, anyway pics below in case it helps.

^^^^^^^^ agree
All my bikes have ASV and I always tell my friends to get ASV. I seem some CRG and they fit nice too.

yep. They look nice. Should have asked here before ordering the Titax levers, damn.
I'll have to say that the Titax levers were really nice and high quality piece. I was just unlucky to catch a bad/miss assambled pair.
I'll hope they will find their way to me one day and can get some profit out of them.

sorry to hear that you had similar issues. Those titax levers cant be shaved to get them any closer. Completely different structure that you have. Thanks anyways.
edit. Well you actually can, but it's not worth the time. You would have to grind the elbowjoint alot and relocate the roller.

I've got Titax levers on my bike and had them on my last bike.
They are great levers in my opinion and I have no adjustment problems.
The OP maybe has a bum set.
Only pics I can find at the moment.
