can't do for the most part. Sometimes it is about warm bodies especially in the service industry. You can probably do that for the "Burger engineers"...but the "computer touch pad specialists" can only take one order at a time so you need several of them for customer service.

There is no way they could justify making a burger that much more, just wouldn't happen. I'm a burger snob anyway and don't go near that place

The problem with unskilled workers is this. 1) there are a lot of you, so supply/demand isn't on your side
2) You want to compare your pay to the CEO. There is 1 of him, 400,000 of you. So if he got paid $40M/year if they took ALL of his pay, it would amount to $100/year for each employee

That would cost McDonald's an extra 32,000,000 if everyone worked 40hrs a week. Since a lot of McDonald's franchises employ part time, I think a conservative number would be 16,000,000 per week. That's going off of 400,000 employees. Not sure how many McDonald's actually employs.

That's a substantial amount of money, also a small debt in the pockets of the big boys
