My R1 eats me.

Stalling
My 09 R1 can only go 232 km/h @10500 rpm. When i pull the throttle more, its on and off. Any idea with the trouble? Help me guys. Thanks.

sounds like you are hitting your rev limiter. Have you flashed your ECU

Ecu still stock. It impossible rev limiter at 10500 rpm. Rev cut should be at 13500 rpm. I'd recently change the spark plugs at 20000 km. Any more idea?

Will it rev out normally in the lower gears? I'm guessing its not getting enough fuel, do you have an aftermarket gascap? Make sure vent hoses near kickstand aren't pinched off, if you don't have an nonstock gascap and the vent hoses are o.k., fuel feed hoses are prone to kinking after removing the fueltank for servicing. Search "no kink fuelhose" here on the forum, do a run through the gears revving each one out and see what happens. Fuelpump could be going bad, but do the no kink fuel hose mod first even if it looks o.k.,to eliminate that scenario. Good Luck !

Yep...fuel would be my next guess if it is a stock ecu

Power Commanders go bad occasionally as well, if you have one.

You absolutely correct mate. The fuel hose kinked. Now it goes back to 299 kmh. Thanks for the help.
