Trading down on a truck?
i was wondering if it was possible to trade down on a car/truck, i have a 2011 super duty 40k miles, i seen a 2010 diesel i wanted lariat edition,can you trade down a truck towards another?

Maybe you get the truck and a little cash. Then you can put the extra money into the truck or bike parts. I say, go for it!

Im pretty sure you can trade down but some people will still want to make money off the deal for sure

I did it once, went from an F250 to a mustang GT which was less than the trade in.
Did not have to pay any tax on the mustang because of it.
But keep in mind, dealer is still going to make a buck on your trade and a buck on the sale.

Is your '11 a diesel? I'm assuming not, so what makes you think you are going to be trading "down"
Anyway, yes it can be done. Dealer will make money on the sale and trade just like every other transaction. They may just give you a check in the end if the numbers work out as such.
