R1 2008 vs 2009
Hello Everyone,
Im a new member joining the R1 Forum, & it seems to be great
However, im willing to go for a Stock R1 2010 at our dealer whick will be $4300 less than the new model. As ive noticed that the models 2008 & below are coming with the Super Sport sound kind of like the F1 Sound, whereas the newer models are having the V-Twin Sound.
Before i go for the Stock 2010 model, is there any Aftermarket Exhaust or any techniques to get out the F1 Sound outta that 2010 model??
Ps. Im bored of V-Twin Sounds because i already have got 3 other bikes with almost same sound, i want an F1 Sound same as the discontinued Micron Slip On
Any help or suggestions, feel free everyone
And Thanks Lot

I don't believe you can change the output sound of the v-twin sound.I'd go with the 08 only because im bias and the 04-08 range are the best looking. Ride to see which is better for your ability and comfortability.

Short answer ... No.. But u can make the 09+ sound unlike any bike you have ever heard. It's like music to my ears. How can u not like the way they look?

Hey thanks pitbullkiz for your reply,
You know its really nice n lookin sexy but the problem is that having the F1 Sound thats in mind, because that sound of the crossplane is kind of similar to my 3 other bikes...

Ride a 08 and 09 plus to compare the bikes. I convicted my friend to get a 11 and after more then riding his bike I like the 08 better. The 08 is lighter and has more power output stock. With the same mods both bike has the same horse power. 09 plus the power comes on sooner in the rpm and the 07 to 08 power comes on around 7k to red line.
I love my 08 r1.

Get the one that's more appealing to your eyes. Only you will have to live with it and look at it!
Me I like the 08

after riding both I still like the 07-08 better, the 09 reflashed, exhaust, etc. and the 07-08 is still better...
the stock front end on the 09-12 soqi forks aren't even sprung for a 50 lb. man riding at a moderate pace no just kidding not that bad, but they should have at least kept the KYB units from the 07-08, leaps better...

Mmmmmmmm.....pure sex right there! I do love the look and screaming of the '08, almost bought one before I got my '12. After getting mine tuned right, I would never go back to that "other" engine LOL. Just something about that torque.......and sound!!!!!! (My bike at the last trip to the dyno)
