Nice bike, welcome to the forum.
What mods are you thinking about, if any?

R6 for the track...even though my R1 is track only, if I did it all over again I'd do an R6...much cheaper to run

I'd definately get with Kent at GMD computrack http://gmdatl.com and get the bikes suspension and geometry set perfect and dialed in. It can be costly depending on how far you go but worth it. I had mine done and it was something sweet. Very fast handling.

If you're interested and you want to you can ride mine and see what I'm talking about. I'm like 30 minutes from you. The spring rate and damping's set for my weight (200lbs) so that may not 'fit' you but you'll get an idea of the quick handling part of it. Just return the favor (I actually haven't riden one of the newer ones ).

Seeing that you are new to tracking, have you considered a ninja 250?
A racer I know said that he see too many guys trying to get use to their 600's while trying to learn the tracks. With a ninja 250, the learning curve is smaller and then you can concentrate on the track more.
Here is a clip of a 250 on the track with a good rider:

Ya I seen that video I was thinking of a 250 but I think I would grow out of it pretty fast and plus I can get a sick deal on a 10 r6 for track only.

Just let me know when you have some free time and we'll work something out.
And welcome to the forum by the way, I'm kind of new around here myself.
