Geese are brutal. My parent's neighbor had a pet goose for several years that was a "guard goose". The neighbor lives at the end of a 2-track road that is around a corner and about 100 yards down from my parent's place. I've seen delivery trucks and other service vehicles backing up the 2-track from their house with that goose following them the whole way, raising all kinds of hell. The mailman and a UPS delivery guy regularly stop at my parents and ask if we'll take delivery for the neighbor and give it to him when he comes by because the goose won't let them out of their vehicles. Just like shown in the video, geese are shitty little cowards.....they wait until you turn your back then attack you. I can tell you from experience that guard goose can pinch the living sheot out of your thigh and calf thru a pair of Levi's if you don't keep your eye on his EVERY move when he's around.

I would have shot someone's "guard goose" the first time it snapped at me or my child

I could see myself wrapping my hand around that goose's neck and doing a real good Bam Bam imitation right out of the Flintstones.
Fishing from a kayak gave the advantage to the goose.

Grabbing one is a bad idea as well, they will scratch and beat the crap out of you with their legs and wings.

Thanks for the impatience warning. I couldn't watch the whole thing. I only had time for a quick gander!

I'll look for it, but several years ago there was a fisherman in Michigan who got his arm broken by a goose. The goose attacked him in much the same way as in this video and he put his forearm up to block the goose and the goose's wing broke his arm. Those fcvkin' things can bring the rain.........believe it.

In New Mexico a goose at a local pond chased after my daughter when she was around 1.5 years old. I helped that goose take flight when I wound up and place kicked that damn thing about 15 feet in the air. Felt like I broke my foot after it, but that goose never gave me shit again

It used to be illegal to harm them here. They became such a problem that now they are free game. I might have blasted a few in my time. 338LM would do a real number on one, so I hear.

i've seen that from trumpeter swans around little ones. make a goose look like a wood duck when they get at ya.
i broke a pretty nice rod over a pelican's head last summer. don't hit the bill! it had at least two leaders hanging out of his face. plus a 5/0 Owner circle now.

Wife is deathly scared of those things...bad experience as a kid I'm told. Either way, they are some mean bastards.

I'm no nature boy, but seeing as how the goose was very friendly and then did that i'm pretty sure it was trying to do sexy time with Sir kayak. On another note: how the **** can you be into kayaking and not know how to get back in, deep water or not.
