**Rules of the Guru section**

Okay people, the powers that be have asked to have a few guidelines laid out for this section, so here it goes:

1. There will be no asking or teaching other people how to 'hack' or 'infect' other people's PC. Nothing about Trojans or viruses (or virii as some members here have declared an official 'word') or anything of the sort. If it's not to help someone clear a virus or along those lines, then fuggeddaboudit.

2. No serial numbers, cracks, or asking for software you know you are supposed to be paying for. This also goes for movies and music. That's what Google searches are for. Don't ask here, don't post them here. People who steal software, movies, and music go to hell; don't you know that by now? Oh, and by the way, if you post any type of site (http, ftp, p2p...you get the idea) that allows you to download the aforementioned, that will be killed too.

Also a note on porn: although not a big problem on this section, but let go ahead and say no links to porn, or links that have links to porn. People largely browse this site from work, namely me, and links to pr0n ain't good on a corporate network.

3. Use a little discretion when trying to be funny or cute with your posts. Things like format c: /u may not mean the same thing to a newbie as it does to you and me. Don't post something like that without being totally clear that you’re kidding and then give a real solution to the problem. Otherwise don't post at all.

4. In a general sense, get along or get out. I don't mind disagreements and what not, but silly name calling will not be tolerated. If you can't offer a positive reply, then don't reply. A little ribbing and joking around is allowed, but if something is said about you that was uncalled for, contact a moderator. It will be dealt with.

With all that said, thanks to everyone who has helped this section become successful. I really appreciate everyone's input. Some of you guys have a vast knowledge of computer technology, and it's great that we have a section that can take advantage of that. I personally enjoy sharing knowledge I've gained through personal experience, or just something that was taught to me beforehand. Let's keep up the good work.
