Need a slip-on for my new 03' GSX-R1000
I don't really want to go full exhaust, as the titanium headers are already pretty nice.
I wanted Akrapovic, but they don't make a SO for the 03' yet.
Any comments on the Yosh RS-3 Race (1115257), or any other suggestions?
Also, would you suggest a Power Commander as well?
I'm getting the *TRE* as well.
Thanks.
- ZZ

with the kind of power that bike already makes, I don't think you could really go wrong with any of the top brands.. and Yosh has always been synonymous with the Zooks.. plus I had Yosh SO's on my TL1000R and they were top-notch quality with a great sound (V-twins always sound awesome anyway)... and with just an SO I don't think a PC would make that much of a difference (again, given how much power your bike already makes).. nice bike by the way, I'm starting to like the looks of the blue/white scheme the more I see it..

I'm no expert when it comes to aftermarket exhausts, but a while ago I read a post here that claimed that a few aftermarket slip-ons actually made the '03 GSXR1000 drop a few horses. I don't know if this is true, but just thought I'd throw it out there and recommend that you check the performance numbers before buying.
Be safe...

If you just want a slip-on. The Yoshimura TRS is pretty popular and looks nice on a 1k.

There is a rule on this board, you gotta post pics of your new bike before doing anything else.

I think Gixxer.com would have MUCH better info on this. Congrats on the new wheels though.

Nice to see a Zook Rider coming here for advice and not getting flamed to hell..
Well done guys, some good advise too...
Suppose we just sit and wait for the kids to sign on now a ???
Little flamers will have a field day.....
I like the R1000 it's a beast.....
