The Nicky Hayden replica, SWEET!!!! Enjoy it, dood. Are you gonna replace the exhaust or leave it stock? I test rode one and fell in love with that cam gear whine.

Before I bought the R1 I was thinking of an RC51 also. Nice choice.

That is an amazing bike. If I had the money I'd definitely get that. I love the replica. It's the background on my desktop. You're very lucky, enjoy. I envy you! The only liter v-twin I've driven is my friends RSV-Mille. I'm sure that's comparable. Nice.

Dude, I bought one when my R1 got stolen. Ditch the exhaust, go with a 520 kit (-1 front, +2 rear) and you will not be disappointed. Congrats!!

I got a 2001 for a track bike. I love it.
V-twin sportbikes are hella fun.

I would have one for the street if my wife didn't like going for rides.

I was worried about the TWIN thing but when I rode it around the neighborhood (20 outside cold!!) Im not going to have one problem with it. It's a sweet ride, and not to many around.

depends on how much cash-ola you got and the affect you're after...if your Mr. DeepPockets, I'd suggest a pair of Satos(either HighMount Banzais or the standard mounts) or a pair of Moriwakis...I had a friend with an '01 with Mori slip-ons and the exhaust note was intoxicating...

now, if you're Mr. Not-So-DeepPockets, then I'd definitely suggest a pair of Yoshimuras or M4s or even a pair of Hindle slip-ons...definitely do your research...being that the RC51 is a racebike, there are a ton of other mods than can be done to it...if you're into trackdays and the sort, then you might wanna get your front end and suspension sorted before putting on a set of cans...just my opinion...otherwise, give that thing some character and get a set of cans!!!!

I have a friend witth an 02 rc51 he runs jardine exhaust and I love the sound it just rumbles violenty! I have rode it forr about 100 miles one day I was prretty fast on it without realizing it. At that time I owned an r6 so it had tons of more power than my r6 but it felt very heavy to me! Thatt is why I bought my r1 it felt like my r6 but with ots of more power!
