Hey guys,
Just wondering....do high mount exhaust produce the same amount of HP and torque as a straight exhaust pipe? Do they sound the same? Which high mount do you guys recommend. I don't know if I'm gonna get one, but am thinking about it. Any problems with them on installation or anything? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

There are lots of threads on exhausts.... just do a search or take a visit to the Mechanical forum.

Highmounts as a general rule will not produce the same HP increase as a lowmount.... and 'shotgun' exhausts like the devil dual highmount will actually lose some HP over the stock can.

From what people have said on the forum the Mig and Devil highmounts seem to be the most popular choice... although the Micron highmounts are pretty sweet also.

Personally I'm going for a lowmount; they're more appealing than the highmounts to me.

Bear in mind that slipons are really only for appearance and sound; if you want significant HP increases then a full system and a rejet or fuel remap is the way to go.

Thanks for the advice!
I was just curious, and am going to stick to the low mount. Most likely the akra full. Thanks for the info,
