Are there any 98-01 R1 owners left?
I'm just curious how many of us are out there? I know right after the 02s came out quite a few new folks joined the forum who recently purchased their 02 R1s but there were still a lot of 98-01 owners out there too. I really love riding my 01 and will continue to do so until it completely craps out on me or it costs more to repair than it's worth. I can honestly say that EVERY SINGLE time I ride it, it makes me smile.
So, that being said, just how many of us are left? We seem to be a dying breed.
If you still have a 98-01 let me know who you are.
See ya,
Scott

i am still a 1998 owner 17,000 and counting. i will be keeping the 98 even when i do get the 04. Why? Because i will have the first year it came out and i will have the first ram air year that came out. Besides i love it too much to get rid of it......

1998 R1
1998 with 8000 miles. I will never get rid of her. Buying up all the parts I can. Body parts are going to get harder to get for a good price.

My homeboy died over a key of cocaine
It was plain and simple, the 9mm went pop to the temple
pop pop pop was the sound I put the snytch down
And ran to the schoolyard bathroom
Looked in the trash can yo it had room
So I ducked my ass in it for a minute
Covered with trash I had to lay back
Mad as ****, thinkin' about the payback
