Now in its second year, our MOBO awards selections process gives us the chance to reflect on the year that was. And for 2010, the spotlights were generally shining on European manufacturers which continued to pump out desirable product while most Japanese OEMs crawled into a hole to wait out the near-global recession.
Brands like Aprilia, BMW, Ducati and Triumph haven't slowed the launching of new models, and this forging ahead in the midst of a storm has resulted in gains of market share. It's also provided us with several interesting new bikes to ride. Perhaps most interesting of all are the bikes in the paradigm-shifting electric motorcycle movement that's rapidly gathering momentum. Progress in this category will come quickly as new technology takes great leaps forward.
Las Vegas, Nevada, July 30, 2010 - Pat Clark Motorsports would like to remind fans that the gear of AMA American Superbike class racers Chris Clark and Ben Bostrom being auctioned to benefit Rett Syndrome is now live on Ebay.
The auction is arranged as four separate auctions, one each for Ben's leathers and bodywork and the same for Chris?s leathers and bodywork. Bidding started immediately following the SPEED telecast of the race on Sunday evening July 25 and concludes on August 4.
The special edition leathers and bodywork with new livery made their AMA race debut at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca round of the AMA series and saw Ben Bostrom and Pat Clark Motorsports score their first win in the American Superbike class. This was also the first win ever for Yamaha in the Superbike class at Laguna Seca.

Cypress California, July 21, 2010 - The stars of the MotoGP World Championship made their way to California this week. They're headed for Laguna Seca, of course, but on Tuesday you could not have been blamed for thinking the race would be held in Burbank.
The suburb north of LA is normally home to a lot of television and film production and star sightings are commonplace, but on Tuesday it was teeming with motorcycle racers... Fiat Yamaha's championship leader Jorge Lorenzo, Monster Tech 3 Yamaha riders Ben Spies and Colin Edwards; Yamaha legends Kenny Roberts Sr., Eddie Lawson, and Wayne Rainey - even AMA Superbike championship leader Josh Hayes and Ben Bostrom were all spotted in the nondescript warehouse district near Burbank's Bob Hope Airport - not a typical transfer point on the way to Laguna Seca.

Team Graves Yamaha racers had a perfect day at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Saturday, July 17, finishing 1-2 in the AMA Superbike race, winning the Daytona SportBike race and sweeping all three podium positions in SuperSport. As they have done twice before this season, Team Graves Yamaha?s Josh Hayes and Pat Clark Motorsports? Ben Bostrom rode their YZF-R1s to first and second in the opening round of the weekend?s two Superbike races, while Graves? Josh Herrin won the Daytona SportBike race aboard his YZF-R6. And in SuperSport, R6-mounted J.D. Beach and Cameron Beaubier went 1-2 on Saturday, with Yamaha improving on that to finish 1-2-3-4 on Sunday under the command of Beach, Beaubier, Tomas Puerta and Huntley Nash, respectively. Yamahas now lead all three championships, with Hayes ahead in Superbike, Herrin ahead in Daytona SportBike, and Beach leading SuperSport.

Team Zyvax's Graves Spec Yamaha R6 wins Overall first place during the Grattan WERA endurance round - leaves its big brother the in the dust!
Kennesaw, Georgia, (July 6, 2010 )- Team Zyvax created their own fireworks on the track during the 4th of July WERA Endurance weekend races at Grattan Raceway in Belding, MI. Despite the big power of the team's Yamaha R1, the little brother Yamaha R6 stood out as the champion in all out lap times during the shortened endurance race.
Perfect weather and perfectly prepped bikes and riders could not outweigh the less than perfect track conditions at Grattan Raceway last weekend. Track surface issues and resulting clean-up efforts caused cancelled practices on Friday and a shortened endurance race on Saturday.
