Error Code 18- EXUP valve problem help

Hi Guys!

I was running a Samanna servo sub for th ebetter part of a year- recently, the code 18 error (EXUP stuck) popped up. I reinstalled the servo motor (removed the sub), and the code went away- for like a day.

Now it's back- the servo motor bench tests fine (resistance in spec, turns when 12V is applied). I think I am not getting power from the ECU to the servo sub. Wiring harness looks fine, and I double checked the areas where I re-soldered the OEM plug- they test fine on my multimeter, and are wired properly.

Can anyone help with this issue? The CEL is driving me batty!

I went through the #53 diagnostic procedure already- servo motor does not spin when you flip the kill switch. The (new) samanna servo sub I got does show change on the dash on procedure 53, but code 18 stays on,

A huge thanks in advance if anyone has any ideas on what to try next...

-Dave

Sounds like the servo sub may be jacked. You might give the graves servo sub a try if you havent removed the stock connector.

With my Bazzaz servo eliminator I still get a code 18 also. It came on the first time I started the bike after removing the exup and has never gone off. I'm thinking of either trying the remove pin #3 mod or putting it back on.

What does removing pin #3 do and how do you do it?

I have this problem now... Just purchased the bike so I don't understand they must of reset it? I put 475 miles on it and this just happened other day. Looks as if I already have the Servo Eliminator. Which is pin#3? Does everybody pull that pin?
