07 Coolant leak...
I was stopped at a light when I noticed a blue-ish liquid pooling under my bike. I got it back home and figured its a coolant leak. I pulled the tank off and check the thermostat housing & hoses and im pretty sure I found my problem. There was visible resin from the coolant on the seal of the thermostat housing as well as around the hose clamps.
I have 2 questions I could use help with:
1. There is resin around the hose clamps as well as thermostat housing--is there a smart way to see if an individual piece is failing vs replacing all of the hoses/clamps/housing at once?
2. I had my ECU flashed by SuperBikes Unlimited and have the temp fans come on a little sooner than factory settings. I ride in Florida so my thought was to keep the bike cooler when I get stuck in traffic. Does this have any negative effects for my thermostat or cooling system?
Forgive me, I am sort of a newbie when it comes to motors. I try to read forums and reviews to educate myself on the issue but I figured I would ask for some guidance here.
