Gray oil

Ok so I put new clutch plates in after tranny rebuild and my oil looked like this. Is it just clutch material? Or coolant?

coolant in the oil usually makes it look like chocolate milky. it could be clutch material or metal wear off the gears you replaced wearing in. i personally would;t worry about it till after you put a thousand miles on it. theres a place i think it was called blackstone labs that you can send off an oil sample for testing it you wanted to know whats in it. some guys on here have done it and its reasonably priced

you are burning up your clutch plates. not to insult you, did u adjust the clutch properly is it not releasing ?

with engine running, in first gear, bike on paddock stand, hold clutch lever in, wheel should not move or you should be able to hold the rear wheel stopped ?

Also not a bad suggestion. I am assuming you adjusted it and it's normal wear but he is right it doesn't hurt to take a minute and recheck it.

Its adjusted correctly. Its strictly a dirt drag bike so the clutch gets dumped a lot.

Yep dirt drags. We drag race 300ft on a dirt strip. The bike is a r1 stretched then we put dirt bike tires on the front and rear. Its double elimination so you get at least 2 passes and a lot more if you're winning.

It's an 01. I've got a 65 tooth rear sprocket and 15 tooth front. They're not the best pics and I dont know why but the owner before me painted the frame blue. It's no beauty queen lol
