Gear shaft support

Has anybody used one of these before, or are they just an highly priced gimmick thing.

Looks like a gimmick to me. I've owned 4 R1 (00, 05, 10, 15) and never had any issue with the gear shaft.

I've had one on my '06 GSX-R100 for years, and at least in the case of that make and model, they do indeed make a slight improvement in shifting. I don't think they're a gimmick.
