I once thought as you currently do, but then I did some digging, picking the brains of not only a couple of dyno operators but some of the local club racers as well. Most agreed that Graves was a damn good match with the Yamaha sportbike line. However, before I settled on the EVR there were plenty of other brand name exhausts I was considering (note, these are all 3/4 cat eliminator systems):
Yoshimura (though I didn't care for the canister styling, didn't match the bike in my eyes)
The following I dismissed as either unattractive, or just too damn loud (these are the shorty 'beer can' exhausts):
Graves Moto 1 (yes you read that right!)
Don't even say TOCE within earshot of my bike or you gonna' be catchin' hands son.
The Sakura Kogyo exhaust looks amazing but I think that the OP was interested in products that the average consumer can, like, actually buy.
So...yeah, there ya' go.
PS: I do agree that hearing the Graves name bandied about on this site can occasionally be trying, but you have to admit that they make some quality kit, and don't forget that members get a 20% discount direct from the company. And IIRC there are even greater savings during a certain month. Can't beat that with a stick.
