Headlights aren't working

Ok guys, I'm kinda new to the forum but have searched everywhere for help. Last night I lost my headlights, tail light, rear turn signals and guage cluster illumination. So this morning I replaced a burnt out headlight fuse. Everything came back except for the headlights. Even the corner lights in the lens work, but not the lows or highs. I checked all four bulbs and they all seem to be fine. I even checked the rest of the fuses in the main box. Any help would be schweet.

So the signal fuse is good then?

You may have a short (grounding "+" wire) related to the front lights...inspect that, its a small wiring loom independant of the rest inside the front top fairing (take it off)

OK, I'm thinking it might be a short too. Today i got up and everything was the same ( everything was good but the headlight). So before I had to take off I had to put something under my rear seat, had to wrestle it around, and when I was done...I noticed the headlight were working normal. I took off and about 2 miles down the road I lost everything again. I'm guessing another blown fuse. My control box for the UFO tail light is in that area and I'm gonna check the wiring. Only other thing that is different than stock is the Variable Load Flasher....and I don't think that could be causing the problem. I'm guessing the problem is related to the recent mods since It was fine before.

My bike did this and it turned out to be the connector. (Located under the left kevlar cover near the tank and handlebar)

The pins had sort of fused, and a simple check is with a test light.
Track down the wire color code for the lights and see if one side has power but not the other. If so, that's your problem.

I found the problem. It was a stupid ground wire that was slightly exposed and was killing my headlight fuse. Sealed it up good, changed the fuse and everything seems to be good. Now I can get back to railing on my new 04 R1.
