This thread was asleep! Wow.

Iíll be in Helen Georgia for some mountain time this weekend. Then itís jennings in May for a final private weekend and my new race license. Then local club racing this fall. Iíve got a few more tracks I need some practice at, but I think Iíll be pretty competitive. Iím excited.

I'm trying to decide if I want to install my built motor into my 09 or just ride this season as is, I was so comfortable and confident at Barber Motorsports Park last November, I'm worried if I go and throw 25-30 more HP at the bike it's gonna mess me all up mentally.

Finish the season on the current motor is my vote. 25hp wonít affect you too much really, because the electronics should be the same interventions. Itís the mental thing. Unless you have a good amount of time to test

Thanks, good thing is I'm not racing its just Track Days. I just got into Advanced but I'd hate to go out and have my brake markers all jacked up and have the coaches chew me out.

I't would prob be fine, I was 5 seconds into A-group pace according to the coaches with STT at Barber. But whats funny to me is how in the h*** is A-group pace the same for 600's and 1k's...... If a 600 was pulling the same lap as me he has to be SCREAMING down the track.

Because at track day pace....The rider makes 90% of the lap time....not the bike....between 6&1k

P.S., who cares if you spend a few sessions our even a few days re acclimating to the changes? Not like they will bump you down if you are a few sec of your normal pace. Heck is rare that I am running a pb every session. Maybe one session per day...if I am lucky.

If you hold your lines the brake markers arenít the biggest deal to miss. My point was actually more towards getting used to where you can gas out because of the power change
