how much did the adapter cost you to make? was it made at a muffler shop? how much of an angle do I need to have to make my own adapter. I am thinking of picking up a carbon can on ebay and putting it on. Thanks for the help.

should'nt cost more than $10 tops. the angle is pretty small -maybe 15 deg.. the gasket on the stock slip-on will compensate for a small misalignment. I don't even use a clamp or sealer on the engine side and it has no leaks. BTW the 98-99 can will be a little heavier than the 02 unit but actually flows a little better as it has no catalyst.

Why are you going back to a stock slip-on? I just put a brand new stock 03 can on mine that I got from ebay, I was running one of my modified 02 ti cans that I may send to ebay also. I sold all the modified carbons to the FZ1 guys.
