I've bought an 01 R1 I intend using for track use, the front end needed repairs but I have doubts what has actually happened to this bike as there are several bits bolted on that don't fit.

Can anyone show me a pic of the headstock, from top, ie the final nut that holds the top yoke. (What you see when you look at the ignition key).

I'm sure this R1 headstock has been messed with and would like to see what it should look like.

The bike is 5JJ but all the front end has 4XV stamped on it so I have suspicion whether it has been replaced due to a former accident. The top nut on the headstock looks wrong, it's not flush.

Thanks a lot, I was sure that nut looked odd; it shouldn't have a lid. I suppose I'll start looking around for a new top nut and washer. Thanks again
