Rumor has it that the new dual EXUP system is pretty close to perfect - and if any exhaust mods are made, given the FI and EXUP situation, the best way is to go with just a slip on...Anyone have any feedback - my main concern is the sound - and if its adds a couple of HP that's even better... I just don't want to **** up the linearity or create a flat spot - with a slipon, are any other changes necessary (FI mapping etc)????

I'm not even close to being a superbike racer so I'm just getting an Akrapovic slip-on. I talked to my parts guy and he said it should add 3-6 hp. :boobies

I'm not a racer, so Im in it for the sound. I'm sure my R1 will have plenty of hp. I have a D&D on my bike and I like the sound. I'll wait until i break it in before i throw on a slip on.

I just talked to a guy at TrickTape.com and he said it takes about 6 months for the exhaust manf. to release the pipes for the '02's. Is this really true?
