Just spent a track day at Jennings GP in N Fla with the 04 R1....The only comparison I have is with my 03 R1....
There is a dramatic difference between the 2 bikes....all I did was stiffen the suspension and drop some air from the tires....Wow! the 04 was very compliant...the transmission was smooth...I drug my knee all afternoon...I'm pleased with the bike...
The 03 required a fight to stay in a corner. the 04 wants to go there and stays ...
I loved my 03 but the 04 is a great improvement....FYI
