Cool!

Any idea how it compares to the Graves rearsets with the GP shift?

Are those all just bent stock parts?

Does it shift well? Using a bent rod as opposed to the Graves straight rod.

Wow! Cool cheap fix! Now all you need to do is spray of powder coat that shift rod black because it obviously looks knicked! There's nothing like reversed shift! Good job!

I have been using this style since my 98', then on my 02' and now my 04'. There has never been any problems. The shifting feels more precise as the stock set up has some play.

And yes, it is using all stock parts and bending the rod. On my 02, I had to change the rod because it was too short. I also had to change the shift arm (on the motor). On the 04' everything is PERFECT!!:thumbup

Thanks much - I thought I would have to order the Graves!

I may still ordere the Graves to move the pegs back and up, but at least I know that I don't have to.

I forgot about the cheese factor.

You mentioned the rod being too short for the 02, so is this stuff of your 02 you kept, or did you bend the stock 04 rod?

If its not the 04 rod, which one is the rod from

Sorry if you said it, I may be having a blond moment:crash

Okay, here is the deal. I just got back from my ride! :D It works great, just as I knew it would. Shifting is tighter and smooth.

To do this mod, this is what I did.

Using all 04' parts.
Measured and marked shift rod
Dis-assembled parts
I flipped the shift arm (on motor)
Heated and bent the shift rod
Switched shift lever (optional)
Re-assembled.

And yes, all R1 footpaeg brackets fit ALL years!! :yesnod
